I understand how the Stock Market works, But I cannot imagine how the stock market boom of the 20s occurred without computers. Was it all on paper? Could someone explain to me how the system functioned back then. Thanks

Should a 27 yr old have money in a ROTH IRA MMSA or a Index fund like Vanguard 2050 fund and why? What is going on in the world now or is there another bubble forming ready to pop soon like in 2008? If somebody has 27000 in savings, how much should be in the stock market making 20k a year? Are we in a depression, recession or heading toward either? Your views on the economy in 15 years?

I understand how the stock market works in general. My question is how the exact value of a given stock is calculated.

Is it some kind of average of all prices that stock is being sold for? Is it determined by a person or team of people? Is it some kind of other algorithm constantly updated by international information? If so, who decided what the algorithm should be? Any other info would be greatly appreciated!
