How to do online business without investment ?
Online Business
I’m currently implementing the Dogs of the Dow strategy and fundx.com (found from Herbert Financial newsletter tracker) strategy on my portfolio. I’m also thinking about tracking most pick guru stocks on GuruFocus.com.
Anybody have other proven or speculative investing strategies?
So, we all know how Mr. Buffet made his billions. But how applicable are his value investing strategies today? Could someone today start with say ,000 and invest in the same philosophy and grow his money plant to great heights? Or is the world just too unwelcoming and the barriers of entry are just too high?
looking to expand a business
I started an account for simulating stock trading on weseed.com.
How do these differ from the real life stock market?
Do people always gain money in the simulators?
If i made 0 on weseed.com does that mean that i would have made 0 in the real market?
does the website curve the prices and stuff so people always win?
thanks
I recently gained some money which im thinking of investing into stocks. Being an absolute beginner, can anyone help explain the stock market, or any must reads before investing?
Thanks!
I have very little starting capital and experience. I am trying to understand the difference between an ETF and a dividend (I think I have it) Should I just open an brokerage account and read MSN Money for example and jump in? Which is the best brokerage- E*Trade with ther trades, or Tradeking or sharebuilde or who? What are some tips/tools you use when investing and what are some important things you have learned and would share with a beginner?
Is that money traded in the secondary market of the stock market available for the company being traded? or does that money go to the bank, since the bank sold the stock shares to individual shareholders? Help!
Thank in Advance.
Business, money, investment
Well, I am a 16 year old boy in high school who is about to join the stock market club. One of the primary activities taken by the club is a bi-annual stock competition take takes place over 2 months, once in the fall, and once in the winter. This club is known for producing excellent results, and last year produced national champions.
Obviously I want to do well. However, as all of you long term value investors can tell, 2 months is an exceedingly short time. One cannot effectively INVEST in such a time frame.
So what is ones alternatives in this situation? The best on can do is day/swing trading and speculations, as well as responding to business news about any companies that are doing well/doing poorly.
Also, what about analyst calls. I do not have much faith in them, but they do produce a noticeable short term movement in a companies stock price that a trader can exploit right? If so and so says X company is doing good, then maybe for today and tomorrow the price of ts stock will rise maybe 5-10%. A person might simply jump along the bag-wagon and sell for a slight profit. Is this a viable strategy? Guess I should start watching BNN.
Anyway, what are you opinions/suggestions on what I can do in this situation? The competition doesnt begin in a couple of weeks and the only financial instruments I can use are stocks and put/sell options, as well as I am allowed to short sell. No leverage. American and Canadian companies only. Also, no ETF"s or mutual funds.
Thank you
