There’s another one I don’t like – “Income Inequality”. I haven’t figured out a good “what is it really” alternative yet.

  7. YY4Me133 says:

@1:35 How about “President Obama okays violating the U.S. Constitution?” Euphemisms, like “collateral damage” and “enhanced interrogation,” are deliberate word games to make heinous acts sound acceptable.

@OldSchoolSkill Yeah, the NDAA is a “Nacht und Nebel”-law.

    no fly zone= corporate/banker war
    humanitarian aid= corporate/banker war
    kinetic action= corporate/banker war
    liberation= corporate/banker war
taxes= money for perpetual corporate/banker wars
elected official= a vile, sub-human prostitute who wears a nice suit, has no spinal cord, sucks blood, and feeds off the bottom.

This is a classic example of what was once known back in the 1970′s as “The Psycho-dynamics Of Emotion.” Basically every word in our language holds a connotative index which will vary slightly from group to group, but is the difference between a thick, juicy steak, and a segment of muscle tissue from the corpse of an immature castrated bull. Both describe the exact same thing, but if one saw the latter on a menu, it would not sell nearly as well….

  15. StunnedByStupidity says:

This is excellent… The left are WAY behind the curve on this use of language (I think because they see the way the right do it as dishonest – but the left do not have to use it that way)…

@OldSchoolSkill Net Neutrality is a good thing, you silly.

@OldSchoolSkill It’s all good, I was just hoping for once Godwin’s Law wouldn’t be invoked…

  19. Zajuts149 says:

@OldSchoolSkill Yes, we have that in Norwegian too, though we probably stole it from German.”Skadefro”. Btw, a Norwegian author, Ingvar Ambjørnsen, said that German was the only language that could make the word “human” sound filthy;)

  20. MultiSamTaylor says:

The entire US “justice” system is fucked up! It is broken on every level and needs to be overhauled! From Casey Anthony to the detainees in federal prisons— something is wrong here!

  21. PlayboiX122 says:

we can’t call it an investment because we don’t have a choice. Somebody wouldn’t put their money into something that they felt was a bad investment
