Republicans: Why do you disagree with this strategy?
During recession: invest funds in stimulating the economy
During recovery/prosperity: invest funds in paying down the debt
Why do you disagree with that strategy?
and don’t pretend you don’t…….
your party voted for NO on the stimulus bill.
The stimulus bill was a combination of tax cuts and spending.
All I’m hearing from you is:
"The stimulus was pork spending"…..
I agree that the programs being funded were unnecessary……….but the JOBS that they create were VERY necessary……considering a double digit unemployment rate!

I think the stimulus was very necessary for economic recovery, The Republicans prefer bail outs, tax breaks for the rich and wars to supposedly stimulate the economy.
Economic investing is one thing, bailing out irresponsible asssholes who bought a home 5X the size of their income was ridiculous, and Obama will own that FOREVER.
By the way, tell me how many jobs were created by Obama sending $20 million in stimulus money to the Providence R.I. zoo for studying of their two lions…I’ll wait.
The spending was for BS government projects expansion projects. The tax cuts go away on January 1st of this years, and I’m not talking about the Bush tax cuts. Don’t pretend YOU know anything, you just showed us you don’t.
for every dollar the govt spends,it must first take two from the economy…

The "stimulus" bill was pork-barrel spending on the wish lists Democrats have had floating around Washington for years.
And if you think that during the eventual recovery we may have that Congress has any intention of investing funds to pay down the debt, you’re a complete fool.
